Summer Playscheme 2020

COVID-19: Only children with a confirmed place will be allowed into the playground over the Summer. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SOAP WITHOUT A CONFIRMED BOOKING!

We have now confirmed the allocations for the first three weeks of the summer playscheme and will confirm the allocations for the final weeks during week commencing 10th August. You can still complete our Booking Request Form to request a place in the final weeks of the scheme.

We are running a remodelled outdoor only COVID beating summer play scheme, for local children who will be in Key Stage 2 and up from September 2020, starting from Monday 27th July until Friday 28th August. Children must be at least 7 years old to attend.

We’re offering 2 slots a day from 10am-12noon & 2pm-4pm. Children can attend one slot per day, and will be in a bubble of up to 15 children that we will keep consistent through the week. You will need to complete a Booking Request Form for each child who you would like to attend. If you’d like your children to attend with friends or siblings then you can add their names onto the Booking Request Form. Unfortunately we can’t guarantee that we will allocate them sessions together but we will if we can. Sadly, we won’t have the capacity to rearrange the groups once they’re allocated and we won’t be able to let children in if they’re not on the daily register.

It’ll be an entirely outdoor play scheme. We’ve got activities planned, the crow’s nest has been redone, all the equipment has been checked and we’ve got extra open-air rain cover if we need it. We won’t be using the hut. There will be toilets, but we’ll encourage everyone to go before hand, and try to keep use to a minimum. We’d love children to cycle or walk to SOAP and encourage them to leave bikes safely locked near the football pavilion. We’d like children to bring as little as possible – just a named water bottle and a coat. Sadly no snacks will be available and we can’t guarantee rain cover to keep other belongings.

Children will be encouraged to socially distance, practice good hand hygiene – using our new outdoor sinks, and hand sanitizer stations – and have fun in the outdoors with their friends.

Please look at our FAQs if you have any questions about the Summer Playscheme.

If you continue to have questions please email and we will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours.
