We are busy putting plans in place to ensure we run a safe summer play scheme that complies with the latest Government guidance on COVID-19.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our fundraising campaign to help get SOAP ready to reopen safely. We have raised nearly £5,000 from our amazing local community and are busy putting plans in place to ensure we run a safe play scheme that complies with the latest Government guidance on COVID-19.

We aim to open for the summer holidays, but SOAP will be very different when we open. We cannot run an open access scheme, and we have to limit the number of adults & children at the playground.  We aim to run 2 hour sessions per day for unaccompanied children only.  All children must be registered and at least 7 years old to attend. Further details will be on our website and notice board once final. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please watch our video and CLICK HERE TO DONATE to support the campaign to help get SOAP ready to open safely.

Please note – the playground is currently closed and we are not taking any party bookings until further notice.

SOAP is a local charity (charity number 1157509) run by volunteers & paid sessional staff, providing free, inclusive, supervised, adventurous outdoor play and activities.

We believe all children have a right to play, regardless of background and/or ability.

We welcome all children – disabled and non-disabled, children with learning difficulties, children with mental health conditions, and children with behaviours that may be challenging.  We’ll do our best to accommodate and support the requirements of all children within a physically challenging, popular setting.
